We're a marketplace
FirstBearing connects businesses that need a service with independent local companies that provide it. We don't perform the services, employ the technicians, or set their prices. You hire the company directly and your agreement for the work is with them.
Free for you, no obligation
Requesting quotes is free. You don't have to hire anyone.
How your request is shared
- We send your request to companies that say they cover your area and offer the service.
- They see the job details and your city first. Your name, phone and email are released only to a company that takes the request.
- By default one company gets your request. We never share it with more than three.
- That company may call, text or email you about your request.
- If nobody covers your area yet, we tell you, keep the request, and share it only when a company joins — for up to 30 days.
How we make money
Companies pay FirstBearing a fee for each request they choose to take. That fee doesn't change what you pay them, and it doesn't buy a better position — we don't sell rankings.
Trust labels
We only call a company verified, licensed or insured when we have seen evidence of it, and we show the date we checked. Always ask a company for its own proof of insurance and any license your area requires.
Reviews
We don't show reviews yet. When we do, they'll come only from businesses that actually used a company through FirstBearing.
Compliance information
Our guides explain common standards like NFPA 96 in plain language. They are general information, not legal advice; your local fire authority and insurer decide what applies to your kitchen.
