Exhaust hood above a restaurant griddle

Commercial hood cleaning

Grease that gets past your filters builds up in the hood, ductwork and roof fan — the fuel for kitchen fires. A professional cleaning removes it and leaves the dated certificate inspectors and insurers ask for.

Guides for restaurant owners

Where we're starting

We're building our network of hood cleaning companies in these areas first. Requests from anywhere are welcome — if no company covers you yet, we'll tell you.

Questions

How does FirstBearing work?

You tell us what you need and where. We send your request to independent local companies that cover your area. A company that takes it contacts you directly with a quote. It's free for you and there's no obligation to hire.

Does FirstBearing do the cleaning?

No. FirstBearing is a marketplace. The companies are independent businesses; you hire them directly.

How many companies will contact me?

Usually one. Requests are exclusive by default, so a single company takes your request and calls you. If that changes, we'll say so on the form.

What if no company covers my area yet?

We tell you straight away, keep your request, and email you when a company joins your area. We don't share your details until then.

Are the companies licensed and insured?

Requirements vary by city and state. We only label a company verified, licensed or insured where we've checked evidence. Always ask for proof of insurance before you hire.
